Personally, I must say it was quite an interesting experience, almost surreal. Mid-way, I stumbled. Hearing your voice live does give one the jitters.
The discussion seemed to focus on putting the blame on a particular group or groups of users, e.g. heavy vehicles or car drivers. I believe if we continue to finger-point, it's likely to result in more rules, more fines, more disgruntled users.
With an increasing population, are we trading off speed (in the name of productivity) for safety? I do hope that we will not have to face a disastrous accident before we make safety a priority.
