About Me

I set up my free-lance writing business "Literal Sense" in 2005 and since then, my portfolio has grown to include web content, brochures, manuals, newsletters, advertisements and magazine articles.   Clientele encompasses a broad range of businesses, such as Citibank, Electrolux, government agencies and retail firms.

I began my writing career as a Broadcast Journalist for Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now ChannelNewsAsia).   Later in Corporate Relations, my repertoire of writing expanded to include above and below-the-line collateral.  With an economics and statistics background, I am skilled in research and worked on a project basis for government websites.

I have been fortunate to gain recognition for my leisure writing too.  Accolades include First Prize for CPF’s “Are You Ready” Writing Contest as well as EPB's “Tangerine” Story Writing Competition.

On a pro-bono basis,  I have blogged on financial savviness for CPF's IMSavvy website.
